A late Caerphilly man who loved his horse racing is be honoured for the third time with a cup named in his honour.
Patrick Phillips, 62, pictured above, passed away in August 2014 from a heart attack.
Family and friends first clubbed together in 2015 to sponsor a race for riders to contest the Patrick Phillips Cup – donated last year by Robert Hughes.
Last year, the Patrick Phillips Cup was won by Rosie’s Peacock, ridden by John Mathias.
This year the cup will be presented by Mr Phillip’s brother, who is flying over from his native Dublin especially for the event.
