Newbridge Leisure Centre will open as a walk-in coronavirus vaccination centre on Saturday, August 7.

The leisure centre will be open between 10am and 3pm for anyone aged 18 or over who has not yet had their first vaccine dose.

People who had their first vaccine dose on or before June 12 will be able to attend to receive their second dose.

The Pfizer vaccine will be used on the day.

It will be open to people living within Caerphilly County Borough, as well as Blaenau Gwent, Torfaen, Newport and Monmouthshire, providing they bring photo ID.

Attendees won’t need to pre-book.

The leisure centre has been used as a vaccination centre since the end of January, taking over from Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Ty Penallta headquarters in Tredomen, which was used as a vaccination centre at the beginning of the year.
