Court Road footbridge in Energlyn is set to be reinstalled on Saturday, October 23, weather permitting, Caerphilly County Borough Council has confirmed.

The footbridge, which goes over the A469 road, was taken down for maintenance on August 28.

However, while the bridge was being taken down, structural issues were identified.

While the bridge is being reinstalled, the A469 between the Trecenydd and Pwllypant roundabouts will be closed between 8pm on October 23 and 8am on October 24.

A diversion route is currently in place for pedestrians while the bridge is away.

In a statement, the council said: “We appreciate the impact the maintenance works will have on both traffic flows and pedestrians. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused.”
