Plans to change a six-bedroom house in Crosskeys, to a seven-bed House of Multiple Occupation (HMO) have been submitted to Caerphilly County Borough Council.
The planning application for 94 Gladstone Street was submitted by Huddle Homes, based in Caerleon, Newport.
The plans include changes to the lay-out of the house, such as the garden level being designated as the kitchen and living area.
All seven bedrooms will be on the above three floors, and will all have their own bathrooms.
A HMO is accommodation run by a private landlord, with bedrooms rented out to unrelated tenants who share facilities.
Currently, the property does not have off-street parking.
The planning statement, submitted by LRJ Planning on behalf of Huddle Homes, said: “With regards to the proposed use of the property as a HMO, it is considered that there will not be any significant increase in parking demand generated by the proposal.”
The statement said that the house is close to public transport and local shops and services, therefore the lack of parking is justified.
The application is expected to be determined on December 14.
