A new £120m Welsh Government support package for businesses affected by current Covid restrictions is now open.

The application process opened on January 10, and is open to businesses in the retail, hospitality, leisure and tourism sectors and their supply chains.

Businesses in these sectors that pay Non Domestic Rates will be entitled to a payment of £2,000, £4,000 or £6,000, depending on their rateable value.

To be able to claim the payment, businesses will need to re-register their details online through their local authority.

Businesses will also be able to apply for top up funding from a new Economic Resilience Fund, with eligible businesses able to apply for grants of between £2,500 and £25,000.

The application window for this fund will open on the week beginning January 17.

The support package was announced by the Welsh Government last month before Wales was put under Alert Level Two restrictions due to the Omicron variant.
