A drug dealer who had axes, knives, a handgun and a machete at home has been jailed for four and a half years.

Dylan Evans, of Spring Hill, Bedwas, appeared at Cardiff Crown Court, where he pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine with intent to supply, as well as two counts of cannabis possession with intent to supply.

Evans, 28, also pleaded guilty to offering to supply ecstasy, LSD and cannabis.

Police first raided Evans’ home in 2020, where they found cocaine with a street value of more than £4,000.

Evans was released on bail, with police raiding his home for a second time last summer – finding £17,000 worth of cannabis, as well as weapons.

PC Rhys Jones, of Gwent Police, said: “Dylan Evans is now serving a lengthy custodial sentence for his part in the supply of Class A and B drugs.

“It’s quite clear he sold any drug he was able to get hold of and has played a significant role in the supply of drugs into Caerphilly.

“I hope this sentence sends a strong reminder to those involved in drug supply that it won’t be tolerated in Gwent.”

PC Jones continued: “Illegal drugs have no place in our society. They can have a devastating impact on our communities and we’ll continue to target anyone intent on causing harm in Gwent.

“I’d like to thank our communities across Caerphilly for their continued support. If you see something in the area, or have any information on drug dealing, please report it to us.”
