Blackwood High Street is set to be transformed into an urban beach party once again this weekend.

On Saturday July 8 from 9am to 5pm there will be sand, deckchairs and buckets and spades to keep the whole family entertained.

The event, which is funded by Blackwood Town Council and organised by Caerphilly County Borough Council, will include donkey rides, funfair rides, food and drink stalls and more.

It is free to attend and dogs are welcome.

This comes after last year’s event was cancelled and replaced with the Blackwood Spring Fair in March 2023 following the death of the late Queen Elizabeth II.

High Street will be closed from its junction with Bridge Street and Pentwyn Road from 9pm on July 7 until 9pm on July 8th. Bridge Street and Pentwyn Road will remain open.
