A 24-year-old man has been taken to hospital after falling from the Chartist Bridge, Blackwood, Gwent Police has confirmed.
Police received a report that a man had fallen from the bridge at around 5.40am on Wednesday September 20.
In a statement, the force said: “Officers attended, along with personnel from the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service and Welsh Ambulance Service, and a 24-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.”
The A4048, which runs across the bridge, was closed in both directions for a short time.
