The concert will take place at St Martin’s Church

An ‘Evening of Song’ featuring Ystrad Mynach Male Voice Choir is coming to Caerphilly town this October.

The concert will take place at St Martin’s Church on October 14 and aims to celebrate “the land of song with a mixture of music suitable for all ages” – while also raising money for the choir.

All-ladies choir, Cantorion Pontyclun, and soloist Josef Gray will also be performing along with the choir, which was formed in 1964.

Jason Venables, 29, accompanist for Ystrad Mynach Male Voice Choir told Caerphilly Observer: “We’re really excited to be bringing two amazing choirs and a fantastic soloist together for an evening of song, a celebration of music in Wales.

Mr Venables, who is also the accompanist for Cantorion Pontyclun added: “All of our performers are busy preparing and we’re ready to showcase some really great music from across Wales and the world.

“We really hope you can join us for what promises to be an outstanding evening of music.”

Tickets are £10 and can be bought online or on the door.

The concert gets underway at 7.30pm.
