Gwent Police has confirmed a man has been taken to hospital this morning, after emergency services were called to Caerphilly Castle.

Welsh Ambulance Service and South Wales Fire and Rescue Service were also in attendance, after being called to the castle at around 8am on Friday November 10 to deal with a “medical emergency”.

Caerphilly Observer was outside of the castle at around 8am, and saw the emergency crews treating a man alongside the castle moat.
