The houses will be built on Brynteg Crescent

Planning permission for eight new houses in Rhymney has been approved.

The houses will built by Langstone Construction Group Ltd on an area of grassy land that fronts onto Brynteg Crescent.

The decision was approved by Caerphilly County Borough Council on November 20.

There will be a mix of two- and three-bedroom semi-detached houses, with off-street parking.

Despite being entitled to seek one house to contribute to affordable housing, Caerphilly County Borough Council has confirmed they will not be doing so.

Four letters were received from residents, with concerns relating to access to the surrounding roads during and after the building work.

This is the second housing development approved in Rhymney this year after 23 houses were approved on the former Aldi site.
