Cascade Ladies conceded a late equaliser to draw 2-2 against Swansea University Women in an Adran South matchup.

The pair last clashed in early December, when Swansea managed to knock Cascade out of the Bute Energy Welsh Cup with a 6-1 win. The hosts were hoping for a different result when they met on Sunday January 14.

A goal after one minute soon settled any nerves for Cascade. Lauren Boyd with her eighth this season for the home side.

Swansea responded well however. Striker Hanna Pinney grabbed an equaliser after 20 minutes to make things 1-1 at the Centre for Sporting Excellence.

Cascade’s Ellis Lunn managed to put her side 2-1 to the good before half-time with her fourth goal in three games.

It took until the 75th minute before Swansea finally answered back. American Kailey Walters with the equaliser that would ultimately be the final goal of the game.

That draw keeps Cascade in second, two points behind Briton Ferry who have two games in hand over them. For Swansea, they remain in third spot, four points behind Cascade.
