The annual Caerphilly Challenge Series is set to return to the borough this spring.
The event, which is being held on Saturday May 11, promises a ‘serious’ challenge for walkers, joggers, and runners of all abilities.
The exact routes and distances are yet to be confirmed, but in previous years, participants have been able to chose to walk, run or jog between five miles and 22 miles around the scenic landscape.
The route normally includes a variety of different landscapes, including hilltops, farmland, riversides and woodlands.
This year, the race will start and finish at Idris Davies School in Rhymney.
Anyone who wishes to take part in the event must book before Wednesday May 1.
The event is being run by Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Countryside and Landscape Service, alongside Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, Caerphilly Adventure Group, Caerphilly Ramblers, and Islwyn Ramblers.
The challenge costs £12 to enter, while anyone under the age of 18 can enter for £10.
The minimum age to enter the challenge is 12.
