Prices at leisure centres across Caerphilly County Borough are set to increase by 5% from next week.
Caerphilly County Borough Council has said the “modest” increases, which come into force from Monday April 1, are in response to “escalating costs of energy, materials, and maintenance”.
In a press release, the authority said: “Despite these challenges, we have diligently worked to keep these adjustments to a minimum while ensuring the continued quality and reliability of our facilities – and want to assure our valued members that we remain steadfast in our promise to deliver excellent value.”
The council said the price increase will allow its Leisure Lifestyle service to “continue to invest in its facilities, diversify opportunities, and create more avenues for individuals to engage with sport”.
