A celebration of 100 years of Girlguiding in Oakdale is being held this Saturday at Oakdale Community Centre.

Katie Morgan from 1st Oakdale Guides said: “We will be displaying photographs of the units over the years, along with historical memorabilia including uniforms, books and artefacts.

“We have invited past members and leaders, along with the current girls who attend, and members of the local community, to share their memories and stories of how Girlguiding has made a difference to their lives.”

The event is taking place at Oakdale Community Centre, in Penrhiw Avenue, Oakdale, between 2pm and 4pm on Saturday July 6.
