Wales Women U20s face Canada tonight in Cardiff

Head coach Liza Burgess has named her Wales squad to face Canada tonight (Wednesday July 24), at Cardiff Arms Park for the final match of the Transatlantic Quad Series.

The Welsh side are coming-off an impressive 38-31 victory against the USA, having finished bottom of the Six Nations league.

Wales scored six tries in that win, with player of the match Maisie Davies leading the way with Milly Summer, Molly Wakely, Alaw Pyrs, Maisie Davies, Hannah Lane and Jess Rogers all scoring – with fullback Nel Metcalfe adding four conversions.

Speaking ahead of the game tonight, coach Burgess said: “Canada bring a lot of physicality – they are very fit and possess physical athletes that will bring a strong scrum to the game.

“They are well drilled so it is going to be an interesting battle for us and will require a lot of resilience from the players.
