Caerphilly-based alt-pop singer-songwriter, Wrenna, has been awarded a coveted spot on the BBC Radio Wales Welsh A-List, which highlights the best new music emerging from Wales.

Throughout the week starting July 29, her latest single, ‘These Nights‘, will be featured across BBC Radio Wales, including on shows hosted by Wynne Evans and Behnaz Akhgar.

These Nights delves into the “profound sadness” of mourning a lost one, according to Wrenna, who drew on her personal journey through grief.

Her songwriting continues to address significant yet under-discussed issues, exploring themes such as the loss of loved ones, the challenges of young adulthood, and mental health.

Reflecting on this achievement, Wrenna said: “Being featured on the BBC Radio Wales Welsh A-List has been a goal of mine since I began my music career. I wanted to create a song that offers comfort to those experiencing grief, and to be able to share this message with listeners all across Wales is amazing.”

Wrenna hopes her success will inspire other aspiring artists, proving that no matter where you come from, achieving your dreams is always possible.
