A group of talented young dancers are heading off to France this month for a special performance at Disneyland Paris.
Students from Caerphilly-based Elevate Dance will grace the theme park’s Videopolis Theatre in a 20-minute show slot after successfully completing an audition last year.
Thirteen dancers, aged between 12 and 17, will perform lyrical and contemporary dance with an African-twist.
Dance teacher Rebecca Jones said: “We have done a huge fundraising drive over the last year to support the pupils’ opportunity to be a positive and successful one.
“Huge thanks to everyone that’s supported the girls in their fundraising journey – we are extremely grateful.”
She added: “The girls have trained so hard and have come together so well as a team, supporting each other every step of the way.
“I am so proud of how far they have come, showing such determination and teamwork. We have really pushed the boundaries in creating our Disney show and I can’t wait to see it on the stage.
“They always make me extremely proud, but I think this will take it to another level seeing them achieve this. Go and smash it ladies – make yourself proud and enjoy every minute.”
Elevate Dance has been supported by Lyons Carpentry; TSS Print and Embroidery; Admiral; Buzz Cardiff trampoline park; Glenhaven Dentist; and RGL Window Cleaning.
