Gerwyn Price fell at the second round of the German Darts Championship after a deciding leg defeat.
Price, from Markham, entered the competition in the second round, where he faced Poland’s Krzysztof Ratajski in Hildesheim on Saturday August 31.
However, the ‘Polish Eagle’ saw off a Price comeback, sealing a slender 6-5 win to knock the Iceman out.
However, Ratajski was unable to build on his first big stage victory over Price in six years, losing the next round 6-2 to Daryl Gurney.
Two-time world champion Peter Wright went on to claim a shock victory in the competition, beating Luke Littler 8-5 in the final.
