Runners will finish the race at Cardiff Castle on Saturday

The legendary Dragon’s Back race spanning 380km from north to south Wales will pass through Caerphilly this weekend before the runners cross the finish line at Cardiff Castle.

The six-day race was first run in 1992 and without fail has been a sell-out every year since, with 280 athletes currently making their way down the spine of Wales.

Saturday September 7 will be the final day of the race and see runners pass through Caerphilly before finishing in Cardiff. Athletes can be tracked via a live interactive map.

More information about the ultra-run can be found online, with entries opening for the 2025 race on Friday September 13.
