Gerwyn Price has dismissed retirement rumours following his exit from the Flanders Darts Trophy over the weekend.
Price, from Markham, was beaten 6-5 by Luke Woodhouse in the second round on Saturday September 7.
Following the defeat in Antwerp, Belgium, Price posted on his Instagram story: “Gutted with the loss tonight, I’ve been practicing and playing so well but sometimes it doesn’t happen – Great checkout by Luke.
“I’m enjoying playing again, just need a bit of run/luck along the way… if you think I’m retiring you’re wrong – I’m here to stay.”
He continued: “Form is temporary I know that… it’s just around the corner; what better way to finish the year than the big one.”
