Friday October 11

🎵 Aber Valley Male Voice Choir, with special guest Joanne Griffiths, are performing an evening of classic pop and musicals at St Helen’s Church, Caerphilly, at 7pm. Tickets, costing £7.50, are available from choristers or Trevor Davies on 07443591381.

🎭 Lee Mead, star of television and award-winning West End leading man, is at Newbridge Memo with his show The Best of Me at 7.30pm. Tickets available from the Memo’s website and cost between £25 and £27.50.

Saturday October 12

🧘‍♀️ A Spiritual and Holistic Fair is at Newbridge Memo between 11am and 4pm. Free entry.

🍁 Autumnal Gifts and Decor sale being held at Caerphilly Miners Centre between 10am and 2pm.

🎵 A live music fundraiser is being held at Caerphilly Workmen’s Hall at 6pm. Tickets cost £5.50 from Caerphilly Workmen’s Hall website.

🤠 Blackwood Miners’ Institute is hosting ‘A Country Night in Nashville’ at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £27 and concession tickets £25 and available from BMI website.

🎤 Singer comedian Kris Martyn is at the Dynevor Arms in Nelson. Show starts at 9pm.

Sunday October 13

🛼 Get your skates on at Sue Noake Leisure Centre, Ystrad Mynach. The regular weekly session is being held between 10.45am and 11.45am. All abilities welcome.

Monday October 14

💻 Caerphilly Miners Centre, on Watford Road, Caerphilly, is holding a series of events throughout the week to encourage people to get online. The launch event is happening between 10am and 12pm.

👨‍⚕️ Aneurin University Health Board is holding a public engagement session at Caerphilly Miners between 10am and 2pm. 

Tuesday October 15

💻 Digital Skills Course information session at Caerphilly Miners Centre as part of Get Online Week. 10am to 12pm. Coding for adults taster session is also being run between 6pm and 7pm.

Thursday October 17

💻 ‘Learn My Way’ launch as part of Get Online Week at Caerphilly Miners Centre is being held between 10am and 12pm.

⛏ One man play Undermined at Blackwood Miners Institute (7.30pm) tells the story of the struggles of the 1984 Miners’ Strike. Tickets cost £15 and £13 concession and available from the ‘Stute website.

Friday October 18

🎼 Eban Brown – Former Lead Singer of The Stylistics is performing at Blackwood Miners’ Institute at 7.30pm. Tickets available from the venue’s website and cost £20.

💻 A ‘Digital drop-in’ is being held at Caerphilly Miners Centre between 9.30am and 12.30pm.
