More than 4,000 visited Caerphilly town’s winter fair

More than 70,000 visitors attended a series of council-run events across Caerphilly County Borough this year.

In total, 13 events went ahead, including Caerphilly Food and Drink Festival, spring and winter fairs, and even beach parties in Risca and Blackwood.

Meanwhile, six council-organised lantern-making workshops were held across the year, with 720 lanterns made as a result.

Cllr Jamie Pritchard, Caerphilly County Borough Council’s cabinet member for prosperity and regeneration, said: “We’re committed to an all-year-round active events programme.

“We know the events are welcomed by residents, businesses, and visitors to Caerphilly County Borough. It is important we continue to refresh our programme to ensure people have an enjoyable experience whenever they attend the events.”

More events are scheduled for 2025, including the return of Caerphilly Cheese Festival, Pride Caerffili, and Bargoed Summer Music Festival.
