The wintery weather caused the majority of games to be cancelled on Saturday January 4

Wintery conditions saw the majority of club rugby games called off this weekend, with teams having to wait a little bit longer for their first taste of action in 2025.

Two games involving Caerphilly County Borough sides that did go ahead were in the WRU Premiership, where Bargoed got the new year off to a winning start on Saturday January 4.

The Bulls earned a 19-16 win at Llangennech to move up to fourth in the WRU Premiership. They overtake Cross Keys, who drop to fifth after a 30-25 loss away to Bonymaen.

Elsewhere in the division, Newbridge remain ninth after their trip to Brecon fell victim to the weather.

However, no other fixtures involving borough sides went ahead in the leagues below.
