Rail services faced “major disruption” due to a “faulty train” in Cardiff on Tuesday, February 18.
The train, at Heath High Level station, has now been returned to the depot, Transport for Wales (TfW) has confirmed – with services now resuming.
The issue affected services along the Rhymney Valley line, among others, causing cancellations and delays of up to 70 minutes.
The incident was reported at around 10.15am. TfW confirmed to Caerphilly Observer at around 12.45pm that services had resumed.
A TfW spokesperson said: “Due to an earlier fault on the train at Heath High Level, services on the Rhymney line were disrupted. The train has returned to the depot and services have now resumed.
“Customers are encouraged to check before they travel.”
