The interactive wall has been received positively according to the council

A new interactive activity wall and children’s slide has been installed at Risca leisure centre, to help boost young swimmers’ confidence in the pool.

The new wall was installed by Hippo Leisure and funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

The installation has already led to an increase in young swimmers at the leisure centre, according to the Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Cllr Chris Morgan, cabinet member for leisure, said: “These fantastic new additions to Risca leisure centre will provide more opportunities for young children to enjoy the water in a fun and safe environment.

“Investing in our leisure facilities ensures that families can continue to benefit from high-quality, inclusive swimming experiences.”

Initial feedback from visitors has been “excellent”, according to the council, with many parents praising the new features for making swimming more engaging and enjoyable for their children.
