Caerphilly County Borough Council has announced it is now taking applications for its sport facility grant, offering up to £2,500 per club to help improve facilities and sustainability.
Funded via the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund, the grant can be put towards storage containers, CCTV, lighting, seating, kitchen refurbishments, fencing, tools, and more.
To apply, clubs must be based in Caerphilly County Borough, have a formal constitution and either own their facility or hold a lease with at least five years remaining.
Councillor Chris Morgan, cabinet member for leisure, said: “This grant programme underscores our commitment to supporting local sports clubs in enhancing their facilities.
“By investing in community infrastructure, we aim to provide residents with greater opportunities to engage in sport and physical activity, promoting healthier and more active lifestyles across the borough.”
Applications will be assessed on a rolling basis while funding remains available. Grants are discretionary and subject to available budgets.
