50 Cardiff Road, Caerphilly, could become a nail salon

A former travel agents’ shop in Caerphilly town centre could be reopened as a nail salon.

Applicant Loi Van Hoang is seeking planning permission to convert the premises at 50 Cardiff Road into a new business.

The vacant unit was previously a Thomson travel agency, then rebranded to a Tui store – with that firm now operating from a new base in the town’s Castle Court Shopping Centre.

According to planning documents, Mr Hoang will seek to open the new nail business seven days a week.

Work to renovate the building also includes proposals to add a new customer bathroom, plans show.

The application is currently out for consultation, and can be viewed on the Caerphilly County Borough Council website under reference 25/0172/COU.
