A wave of fresh talent is ready to light up the stage at Caerphilly Workmen’s Hall on Friday May 2 with “A Night of Rising Starz”, a special evening celebrating Wales’ up-and-coming performers.

Running from 7pm to 11pm (doors open at 6.30pm), this event promises an electrifying mix of music and performance art, giving local artists a platform to shine in front of a live audience.

Singer Ava Courtney, from Caerphilly, is one of the organisers of the night.

She said: “We did a rehearsal for the show recently and it is going to be out of this world with proper artists singing.

“We’ve got a great range of singers covering different genres. They are all from open mic nights that we regularly hold – these are all proper artists. You are not going to attend and get bored.”

Acts confirmed for the evening include Rob Crowley, Abertridwr’s Billie-May Wood as well as Caerphilly’s I Am Ava.

Elites Youth Theatre, from Bedwas, will also be performing on the night.

Tickets are on sale now at £5 each and are available directly from Caerphilly Workmen’s Hall and The Aber Hotel as well as the RisingSTARZ Facebook page.
