Managing director, Anthony Robins outside the new space in Ystrad Mynach

Family-run business Fire Seals Direct has announced a new base in Ystrad Mynach, having outgrown its old site on Pontygwindy Industrial Estate.

The business, which supplies fire protection products including fire doors, has said the move follows success over recent years, which has seen turnover triple.

Fire Seals Direct, which first opened in 2016, has also seen its number of staff increase from just two to 15 in four years.

The new two-storey premises will play a “vital role” in making the business more efficient and improving customer service, according to managing director Anthony Robins.

He said: “In the last couple of years, we’ve onboarded hundreds of new products and seen our sales continue to climb – we’re growing at a significant pace. With the rapid expansion of our team and customer offering, we needed a larger office that could support our evolving needs.

“This new premises will not only provide us with the storage and office space we need to house our extensive product range and growing team, but it also offers an accessible location for our customers as we look to develop a click-and-collect service.”

Mr Robins added: “As a Caerphilly-born-and-bred business, it was important to us to remain in the borough and this new space will enable us to boost our sales capacity and continue to grow.”
