Markham’s Gerwyn Price is in Denmark this weekend to defend his Nordic Darts Masters title.

The competition starts on Friday June 6, with 40-year-old Price facing Norway’s Cor Dekker in the opening round in Copenhagen.

The 16-player event, which is part of the 2025 World Series of Darts, concludes on Saturday June 7.

The first round, on Friday night, will see eight PDC superstars take on eight Nordic and Baltic challengers.

Price, who defeated Dimitri Van Den Bergh, Michael Smith, and Rob Cross en route to victory last year, could face reigning Premier League champion Luke Humphries in the quarter-finals – if they both get through their respective first round ties.

Elsewhere, Welsh number one Jonny Clayton from Carmarthenshire, marks his first World Series appearance in more than 18 months with an opening round tie against Lithuania’s former World Championship quarter-finalist Darius Labanauskas.
