Blackwood’s annual beach party is back this weekend, bringing sand, deckchairs, funfair rides and more to the high street.

The free-to-enter event is being held between 9am and 5pm on Saturday June 28.

There will also be a stage with a full entertainment programme, including local singers, bands, and dance acts, as well as donkey rides, craft workshops, and birds of prey displays.

A host of stalls, selling refreshments like hot drinks and snacks, will also be set up at the event.

The event is funded by Blackwood Town Council and organised by Caerphilly County Borough Council.

It follows on from Risca Beach Party, which drew around 1,500 visitors earlier this month.

Beach party still a success despite bad weather
