Toby Jones and Harry Lawtey star in Mr Burton

Mr Burton tells the story of how a young Richard Jenkins – who would go on to become international screen legend Richard Burton – was shaped by the guidance of his schoolteacher and mentor, Philip Burton.

Screen lovers in Caerphilly are in for a rare treat as the acclaimed Welsh director of the film, Marc Evans, presents a special Q&A screening of Mr Burton at Y Banc (the former Barclays Bank), on The Twyn.

Hosted by community arts group Cynefin Caerffili, the event takes place on Wednesday July 16 with doors opening at 6.30pm.

Tickets are £3 booked via Eventbrite. However, organisers have said no-one will be turned away due to a lack of funds. Please let them know if the ticket price means you might not be able to attend by emailing info@cynefincaerffili.org.
