A church and its hall in Deri could be converted into two new homes, according to new proposals submitted to Caerphilly County Borough Council.
St Peter’s Church, in School Street, is currently vacant, according to documents submitted by applicant David Neade.
His proposals for “two family dwellings” include transforming the existing church to create a three-bedroom home divided over two floors.
The ground floor would comprise a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a kitchen and living room area, a bathroom and storage spaces.
Upstairs, a balcony would overlook the ground-floor living room, while an additional lounge, two bedrooms and one en-suite bathroom have been proposed.
The second proposed home would be located in the hall which joins onto the main church building.
There, designs include a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, two more bedrooms, an additional bathroom and a kitchen and living room area.
The application is currently out for consultation, and can be viewed on the Caerphilly County Borough Council website under reference 25/0637/COU.
