Gerwyn Price won Premier League Darts Night 12 in Liverpool
Gerwyn Price will compete at this year’s Premier League Darts

Markham’s Gerwyn Price will compete at this year’s Premier League Darts, the PDC has announced.

Price, 40, is currently ranked 12th in the PDC World Rankings following a disappointing early exit at the recent World Darts Championships.

However, the Iceman – a world champion in 2021– will be in with a chance of winning his first-ever Premier League Darts title this spring, having finished as runner-up in 2023.

He will be joined by recent world champion Luke Littler, and reigning Premier League champion Luke Humphries, as well as Michael van Gerwen and Stephen Bunting.

Welshman Jonny Clayton returns to the Premier League this year, while Gian van Veen and Josh Rock will compete in the competition for the first time.

Rob Cross, Nathan Aspinall, and Chris Dobey, who all competed in last year’s edition, have not made the cut this time around.

The eight-man roadshow, which begins on Thursday February 5, consists of 16 mini-events held across different cities throughout the season. Each league night comprises quarter-finals, semi-finals and a final over the best of 11 legs.

It is followed by a play-offs at the O2 in London on May 28, where the overall champions will be crowned.

Matt Porter, PDC chief executive, said: “There’s a fresh new look to this year’s line-up, which I’m sure will entertain our incredible crowds across the UK and Europe.

“Following on from a historic World Championship, we’re determined to build on this momentum in 2026, and we’re particularly looking forward to taking the BetMGM Premier League to Belgium for the first time.

“All eight players boast considerable pedigree on the sport’s biggest stages, and following record-breaking ticket sales for the 2026 season, this year’s event promises to be a memorable one.”
