Gerwyn Price will go up against reigning Premier League Darts champion Luke Humphries when this year’s competition gets underway in Newcastle next month.

The eight-man roadshow gets underway on Thursday February 5, with the full competition fixture list now confirmed.

The Premier League consists of 16 mini-events held across different cities throughout the season, with each league night comprising quarter-finals, semi-finals and a final over the best of 11 legs.

Price, from Markham, will play in front of a home crowd at Cardiff’s Utilita Arena on Night Five, which will be played on Thursday March 5. There, the Iceman will take on Stephen Bunting in the opening round.

Points will be awarded each night to form the league table, from which the top four players will progress to the play-offs, which will be held at London’s O2 Arena on Thursday May 28.

Price, who is ranked 12th in the world, will be competing in his eighth Premier League Darts campaign.

He will be joined by fellow Welshman Jonny Clayton, ranked fifth in the world, who returns to the tournament for the first time since 2023.
