Sandy Elsbury has been recalled to prison

A criminal who was released from prison is wanted back behind bars, with Gwent Police appealing to find him.

Sandy Elsbury, 49, has been recalled to prison after allegedly breaching the conditions of his release.

He had been serving a sentence for inflicting grievous bodily harm.

Elsbury is from Abertillery, but has links to Caerphilly, according to Gwent Police.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts can contact Gwent Police on 101 or through its social media accounts, quoting log reference 2600197153.

Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
