The army are standing down from supporting firefighters after being brought in to help tackle a wave of wildfires across south Wales.
Army teams were deployed to assist South Wales Fire and Rescue Service (SWFRS) as multiple grassfires burned across the region.
The military assistance formally comes to an end today, Wednesday August 19.
Firefighters remain on the ground monitoring ongoing incidents at Wattsville, as well as in Cwm near Ebbw Vale.
Active firefighting operations are also continuing at sites including Blaenavon, Treherbert, Dowlais, and Llwyn-on Reservoir.
Two helicopters are still being used for air support and reconnaissance work.
A flight restriction remains in place over all affected areas, banning the public from flying personal drones.
Arson reduction teams are patrolling affected communities following concerns over deliberate fire setting.
Anyone with information on suspicious behavior is asked to call Gwent Police on 101, or report anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
