Man in court charged with Rhymney murder

A 64-year-old man has appeared in court charged with murder.

David Cook, 64, of Tan Y Bryn, Rhymney, appeared before Caerphilly Magistrates on Tuesday accused of the murder of Leonard Hill.

Mr Hill, 64, was last seen on Tuesday June 14 in the High Street area of Rhymney. His body was discovered by police at a property in Tan Y Bryn, Rhymney, on Saturday at 6pm.

Cook, who was arrested in the Swansea area on the weekend, will now appear before Cardiff Crown Court on Wednesday June 29.
