Gwent Police Authority re-launches website

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 13:30, Tuesday August 9th, 2011.

Residents are being asked how they would spend the budget of Gwent Police as part of a new website.

Gwent Police Authority, the body in charge of Gwent Police, has re-launched its website, which contains the budget survey.

The new look site contains information about the authority including membership, agendas and minutes from all public meetings as well as information on how it monitors the performance of the force.

As well as the budget survey, people can also give feedback on policing in their area.

Gwent Police Authority Chair Cilla Davies said: “I would encourage you to come and take a look around our new website where you will have the opportunity to find out more about who the police authority are and what we do. The authority has come a long way since the original site was launched over ten years ago, and is always striving to develop new and cost effective ways of engaging with the public.

“The re-launch of the site will improve the visibility of the Police Authority and will provide an opportunity for local residents to tell us about their policing priorities.”
