Thursday night’s stormy weather saw part of a roof blow off a house in Crumlin and a tree crash down in Newbridge.
South Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to Crown Street in Crumlin where a flat roof was blown off a building by strong winds.
In Newbridge, firefighters were called to Cwrt Tynewydd where a large tree had fallen causing damage to a garden fence.
One of the branches had landed on the roof of a house and was precariously positioned.
The branch was removed and the fence made safe.
There were no reports of any injuries.
