A Coleg Gwent football team is celebrating the end of a fantastic year after triumphing with a series of national and regional wins.

The Crosskeys Campus team recently scooped the title of British Colleges League Champions after finishing top of the league. Coleg Gwent’s Usk Campus men’s football team also finished in third place in the competition, further strengthening the college’s excellent season in the sport.

The Crosskeys Campus team were also named Gwent Schools U19 Cup Competition winners, and finished fourth in the Welsh Youth Football League.

Crosskeys Campus football coach Jonathan Smith said: “I am very proud of students’ achievements this year, not only winners of the British Colleges League and Gwent Cup Competition but also finishing fourth in the Welsh Youth League.

“They have worked hard this season both in training and in their academic studies which has resulted in a fantastic year.”
