Llamau charity appeal for unwanted Christmas presents

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 14:24, Wednesday December 28th, 2011.

Homelessness and domestic abuse charity Llamau is appealing to people for donations of any unwanted Christmas presents.

Deborah Holland, marketing manager for the charity, said: “If you received a present which you don’t really want, or will never use, don’t hide it away. Turn your trash into our treasure by passing it onto homelessness charity, Llamau.

“We would love to receive your unwanted gifts – not only for use at Christmas time, but throughout the year. The young people and vulnerable women with whom Llamau works often have very few possessions. We need to be able to give them basics, such as soaps and shower gels when they arrive in our accommodation, as well as a small gift on their birthdays.

“We are looking for gifts suitable for children, young people aged 16 to 25, and women of any age. Any present, large or small, would be fantastic, but no alcohol thank you. Please drop off your treasure at the following places.”
