Gwent Police have arrested two men in connection with an attempted armed robbery at the ‘dip’ garage on St Cenydd Road, Trecenydd.
A man brandishing a knife threatened staff in the attempted robbery at 12.30am on Wednesday December 14 but left empty-handed.
No-one was injured during the raid.
A spokeswoman for Gwent Police said that two men were arrested in connection with the robbery.
She said: “Two males, both from the Trethomas area, were arrested on suspicion of attempt armed robbery. One man is currently on police bail pending further enquiries and the other has been released no further action.”
