£1,000 for missing dog thought to have been shot at

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 16:00, Friday January 27th, 2012.

Four-year-old Siberian Husky Koda went missing after being taken for a walk near Eglwysilan Church in Abertridwr earlier this month.

A £1,000 reward is being offered for information to find a missing husky dog which may have been shot at.

Four-year-old Siberian Husky Koda went missing after being taken for a walk near Eglwysilan Church in Abertridwr earlier this month.

Owner Jo Skelding explained: “I was out of the country at the time and my friend was looking after her.

“Koda broke free in the lanes near Eglwysilan when a car was passing. The dog was nervous of the car and ran off.

“My friend ran off after her and she saw Koda running across a field.”

It is believed the dog may have been shot at by someone and Ms Skelding is appealing for information to find out exactly what happened.

She added: “I just don’t know where she is or if she is alive – I just don’t know.

“It’s just a plea if anybody has seen a dog fitting Koda’s description or found her so that I have closure.”

Anyone with information about the missing dog can contact Jo on 07968862883.
