Update: Police investigate second arson attack in Rhymney
A man and a woman escaped a suspected arson attack by jumping from a window of the burning building.
The fire broke out in the early hours of Sunday January 29 at a flat on Heol Aneurin Bevan in Rhymney. It happened at approximately 4.30am.
Police are treating the cause of the blaze as arson and are appealing for information.
The two people inside the second floor flat escaped by jumping out of a window. Both are currently in hospital and are suffering from smoke inhalation and serious back injuries but are not in a life threatening condition.
