A 23-year-old charity worker from Nelson, has completed a 14,000ft sky dive to raise money for Diabetes UK Cymru.

Danielle Angell, who works for the charity as a volunteering development support officer in Cardiff, completed the skydive on her birthday last month at Redcliffe, near Brisbane.

The feat followed a three-and-a-half hour climb up the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

She said: “It was my first skydive, and I was most scared when we boarded the aircraft, but when we were up there it was alright. The best part was looking down on the city and the ocean on the way down.”

Danielle has now reached her fundraising target of £500 for the charity but you can still sponsor her at www.justgiving.com/Danielle-Angell0
