Sign-up for fun in the half-term Holiday Zone

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 17:00, Tuesday February 7th, 2012.

Parents in Caerphilly County Borough can take advantage of a childcare club during the February half-term school holiday.

Following on from the success of the ‘Holiday Zone’ during previous school holidays, the scheme will open once again between 8.30am and 5.30pm during the half-term holiday between February 13 and 17 at Tumble Tots Day Nursery at Ystrad Mynach College.

The Holiday Zone is a registered holiday club for four to 11-year-olds and is supported by Caerphilly County Borough Council. It was developed as a response to the need for more childcare in the area.

The club consists of several zones including: Creative Zone – cookery, arts and crafts; Outdoor Zone – den building and sports; Chill Out Zone – Wii and Xbox plus traditional board games. Other zones include the Fun Zone and the Adventure Zone.

The Holiday Zone will offer a week of fun-filled activities suitable for all age groups for just £15 a day – subsidies for siblings.

The project is funded by the Welsh Government’s Community Focused Schools grant.

Please contact the Family Information Service on 01443 863232 to book.
