New look support for businesses in Caerphilly County Borough

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 16:00, Monday February 13th, 2012.

Caerphilly County Borough Council’s business support team has had a re-brand.

Now known as Business Enterprise Support Team (BEST), the council’s team is based at Tredomen Business and Technology Centre in Ystrad Mynach.

Cllr Ron Davies, cabinet member for regeneration said: “The team is made up of specialists in the fields of economic development, tourism, event management, ICT, town centre management and business support. They offer a one stop shop in the heart of the county borough and they are helping to put Caerphilly on the map in terms of destination marketing and business growth.

“We have re-branded our service as the Business Enterprise Support Team and they will continue to work with our partners to create a sustainable and diverse economy by developing and building upon the strengths of our people, businesses and places.”

Andrew Diplock, Chair of the Caerphilly Business Forum said: “The team has always worked hard to promote the local economy and support the interests of the business community. The re-branding of the service will provide a new focus for the team to move forward and I’m sure that the Caerphilly Business Forum will continue to work in close partnership with the authority for the benefit of the whole county borough.”
