Islwyn MP Chris Evans has paid tribute to the workforce at Remploy after joining them at their plant in Croespenmaen to celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

After cutting a celebratory cake with pupils from Blackwood and Oakdale comprehensive schools, Mr Evans said: “I always enjoy meeting with staff at Remploy as the morale here is fantastic. I was delighted to join them for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

“I fully support the work that Remploy does. They provide a vital service in the community. I wish them every success in the future.”

Remploy is a publically-funded enterprise which helps people with disabilities to find work.
